Is it any surprise that Mitch McConnell vowed today to not allow Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices?

For a little midwestern state, Governor Noem has really been kicking up a lot of drama.. first, there's the investigation by the South Dakota AG into how Governor Noem handled her daughter's rebuff by the state when she was trying to get her real estate appraiser's license.. and the payoff of $200,000 to the state employee who ran the department for 40 years. Then we have all the drama around the Governor getting this high falutin' King Air 350 -better than anything any other midwestern state has- and she flies it all over the place in violation of state law the AG contends.. let's deconstruct what's going on here and why this matters.

Lindsey Graham Booed for encouraging People to get the vax at GOP fundraiser

Well, I have to at least give Lindsey credit for trying here folks.. here he was all dressed up at a GOP fundraiser/get together in Dorchester SC, at what looks like a country club and the poor guy gets booed for suggesting the vaccine. What's worse is that he also gets called a liar for saying that "92% of the people in SC who are hospitalized haven't been vaccinated".. to this the crowd bellows "false" and "not true".. As an example of the disinformation they peddle on FaceBook, I will describe how they twist an anti-vax campaign into an anti-left capaign of control.. the real victory for these people is that they of course make money in all of the disinformation and secondly, when they occasionally get a Trump like guy in office, the policy shifts in their favor which is why they do what they do..

Joe Manchin has been a lightning rod lately catching all kinds of heat for his pushback on the $3.5t 'Build Back Better Plan' and in this episode, I want to look at one of his points called 'means testing'. Joe took a lot of heat for suggesting this but the fact is, it's already being done on some of the provisions in the $3.5t plan.. so, it's not an outrageous point he is making here. After all, we need to listen to Joe's pushback as a form of constructive criticism because if we don't roll out this plan in a way that makes sense, we're opening ourselves to Republican scrutiny on issues like means testing that could hurt Democrats in the coming mid term elections if we're not cautious.
